He did not expand the expressions correctly. It should have been -(36a^2 - 6a+ 6a+ 9) which is -36a^2-12a-9. He probably thought that it was 6a x 6a and 3 x 3 and he got 36a^2 and 9. I think he did not draw the arrows foil method and forgot the steps.
he missed one step in the equation
ReplyDeleteIn the 1st step he should expand the value in the brackets before multiplying it by 3.
ReplyDeletehe is supposed to use foil method not multiply the first of each bracket and the last of each bracket.
ReplyDeletehe skip a step, and somehow got 36a^2 + 9
ReplyDeleteIt's not "he", it's "she". Cuz I did it. :P
ReplyDeleteand... I still dk whr I went wrong. :X
He did not used the Foil method well enough as he missed out the step of taking 6aX3
ReplyDeleteShe did the foil method wrongly..
ReplyDeletehe must do the ^2 before multiplying it
ReplyDeleteThe person was careless and missed a step in the step before that
ReplyDeleteHe should do The ^2 first before the multiplication and not the other way
ReplyDeleteShe skipped a step
ReplyDeleteSix did not did the equation properly, and missed a step?
ReplyDeleteFine she. She missed a step doing the second number. The erm +2ab part...

ReplyDelete(S)he forgot to apply the FOIL method to (6a +3)(6a +3)
ReplyDeleteHe did the foil method wrongly
ReplyDeleteShe must do the ^2 in the first step before multiplying.
ReplyDeleteShould square (2a-1) first

ReplyDeleteHe/She did not do the Foil method properly
ReplyDeleteShe should do the ^2 first
ReplyDeleteShe forgot was careless. When (6a+3)(6a+3) the answer is actually supposed to be 36a^2+18a+9
ReplyDeleteThis has been done wrongly the student could have done foil where the circle was at
ReplyDeleteShe should use the foil method instead.
