- Among the 4 graphs (Line Graph, Bar Graphs, Pictograms, Pie Charts), identify ONE graph that is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information?
- Pie Chart
- Why do you think it's not appropriate?
- The figures on the pie chart is rounded off so it is not accurate. If it is not accurate it is not appropriate.
- What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate?
- The other 3 do not have figures that are rounded off so they are accurate and hence appropriate for showing the data.

eLearning Lesson 1 Task 1: Choice of Graphs
- Among the 4 graphs (Line Graph, Bar Graphs, Pictograms, Pie Charts), identify ONE graph that is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information? Pie charts

- Why do you think it's not appropriate? It's used to describe parts of a whole, but not frequency.
- What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate? They describe frequency.

- Among the 4 graphs (Line Graph, Bar Graphs, Pictograms, Pie Charts), identify ONE graph that is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information? Pie Charts
- Why do you think it's not appropriate? PIe Charts are supposed to be used to describe part of a whole, not frequency.
- What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate? They all can be used to describe frequency.

I think the Pictogram is inappropriate. Firstly, if one unit is too big a number, the unit shape has to be cut up into the exact value when dealing with small numbers, which then would be hard to read and calculate. Whereas if the unit is too small, you would have to draw many unit shapes or count them, both which are tedious and are still hard to understand at a glance.

Pie Graph
Why do you think it's not appropriate?
It is not appropriate because as it says there, the figures used in the pie chart are rounded off, so, the pie chart is not accurate thus, not appropriate.
What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate?
The other graph's data is not rounded off, so they are accurate.

Why do you think the chart is inappropriate?
I think that it is because there is no exact number shown and also the percentages must probably be rounded off when it comes to complicated numbers, not showing an more precise result. Pie chart will get messed up in angle if the numbers are complicating. Furthermore, If you're drawing out the pie chart without using computer, (with pencil and protractor) it will take a longer time for you to do it than the rest of the graphs.
Why do you think the other 3 charts are appropriate?
It is because on the other 3 charts, you can actually plot the graph and although not a pin-point accuracy, it is more precise than pie charts when it comes to big numbers.

Among the 4 graphs (Line Graph, Bar Graph, Pictograms, Pie Charts), identify One graph that is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information?
The Pie Chart is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information.
Why do you think it's not appropriate?
It is not appropriate as these numbers could be rounded off (If you see: The figures are rounded to the nearest whole number at the bottom left of the image aboe) , and it is also very difficult for people to see, especially if you need some numbers right away. (You'll have to calculate here and there.)
What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate?
The other 3 graphs usually gives more actual numbers. Not rounded ones like Pie Charts.
-PS: I have no time to do the second one: By the end of elearning... I hope. I have to run along for CCA-

Elearning Lesson 1 Task 1 By Amelia
Among the 4 graphs (Line Graph, Bar Graphs, Pictograms, Pie Charts), identify ONE graph that is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information?
The Pie Chart is not suitable.
Why do you think it's not appropriate?
If the numbers used in the Pie Chart are not perfect, the numbers would be rounded off, causing the degree to be not perfect, producing an inaccurate diagram, hence I think it is not appropriate.
What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate?
The numbers are not rounded off as one whole is not a weird number like 360, which makes it hard to represent.

Among the 4 graphs (Line Graph, Bar Graphs, Pictograms, Pie Charts), identify ONE graph that is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information?
I think the Line graph is not an appropriate choice.
Why do you think it's not appropriate?
The line graph is meant for days, and if placed as so, it is saying that it changes weather, like from sunny to windy and then to cloudy.
What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate?
They represent the number of countries or places which has each weather, like 3 places with sunny weather.
eLearning Lesson 1 Task 1: Choice of Graphs - Tay Ming Yi

Among the 4 graphs (Line Graph, Bar Graphs, Pictograms, Pie Charts), identify ONE graph that is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information?
Why do you think it's not appropriate?
It is not appropriate as these numbers are most probably rounded off and it is written in like percentages so its harder to calculate the information.
What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate?
Those other graphs are easier to calculate and they are more straight-forward.
eLearning Lesson 1 Task 1: Choice of Graphs

- Among the 4 graphs (Line Graph, Bar Graphs, Pictograms, Pie Charts), identify ONE graph that is NOT an appropriate choice to represent the information?
- I think the pie chart is not an appropriate choice to represent the information
- Why do you think it's not appropriate?
- I think it is not appropriate as the pie chart shows only the percentage of what type of weather will cast on the earth, but if we want to know the exact number of where the weather will fall it does not show. Thus, i think it is not appropriate
- What makes you think the 3 remaining graphs are appropriate?
- The other 3 remaining graphs shows where it will the exact number of that weather of the whole south-east Asia
