S1 (Viva Voice) Part A Question 3-Final

S1 (Viva Voice) Part B Question 3 (Reflection):
Some challenges I faced was speaking clearly, as I keep mumbling to myself as I was not very confident of myself. There were also noises in the video as there were renovations going on so but I solved it by de-noising it in imovie(but i failed...). The biggest challenge I faced was uploading the video(I forgot how to) but after getting some help from my family, I found out how to embed the video. One of the things that I learnt from this was that to make a recording we should always make a script, talk clearly and confidently and take note that background noises might ruin the whole recording, so we should always find a quiet place to record (Unfortunately, I was not able to find a quiet place).

Maths Viva Voce - Dexter (Question 1)

S1 (Viva Voce) Part A Question 1

Reflection:
I had problems combining the three parts of the video together and I always had a tendency of saying the wrong thing which caused me to keep redoing the video. One of the challenges, is to think in the view of the person who is trying to understand our explanation. This requires of me to explain clearly to be able to let the person looking at the video have full understanding. I also had to make sure all concepts were used and nothing was left out.

S1 (Viva Voice) Part A Question 1

Reflection:

I did not know how to explain the question at 1st. This is my weak point in math, I have always been unable to explain a mathematical equation to a person, but I can do the equation. This activity has helped me to be able to slowly improve on that.

S1 (Viva Voice) Part A Question 1

Reflections:

Well I had to do the videos a few times, and i had to write a script to say it i ain't so good and saying speaking, but still i wasn't able to get a perfect video, i chose the best from the lot here...

S1 (Viva Voce) Part A Question 3

S1 (Viva Voce) Part B:
The challenges I faced was firstly, the poor quality of the camera. I tried many times to record again with better lighting, but I guessed that my handwriting in my Maths notebook was written too lightly, and used screen-recording as the last resort.

Secondly, even though I had a script, it was hard to flip through the small pieces of paper I wrote on while holding the notebook (before I used screen recording). And thus I kept making mistakes, using a lot of time to redo the recording, again and again.

The learning points was to understand the problem and to know the methods and the right words used to solve and explain the specific question. It is also to articulate and to express if you had understood the teacher during lesson time.

S1 (Viva Voce) Part A Question 3

S1 (Viva Voce) Part B Reflection:
The problems i faced while creating the recording was that i was not well prepared and just launched myself into immediate explaining of the question, and thus because of inconsistency of words and stuttering, i had to re-recording many times. Finally, after a review of each recording, i made a script to  roughly plan what i have to say. The learning point is if we fail to plan, we plan to fail. A script is usually a good way to plan out.

Viva Voce Part A question1

Part B
I faced a few challenges. I was overconfident and did not use a script so I ended up stuttering many of the words. There was also a lot of pausing in my video because I only used one video and did not do it part by part. The sound quality of the video was not that good as found out that I could not import a audio recording into imovie so i had to do a voiceover recording of my audio resulting in poor sound quality.

S1 (Viva Voice) Question 1

Part A:
Part B:
I had some problems recording as the surroundings were quite noisy. I also had some problems explaining the steps with the terms used. I also had to record it back a few times because I made mistakes along the way. But, thanks to my script, it went quite well. Learning point was that we have to organize ourselves and prepare. Secondly, it is also to test whether we understand the terms and concepts.

S1 (Viva Voice) Part A Question 1

Problems faced: Some of the problems faced when I was doing the video was that I originally wanted to do it on hardcopy but the words were either not clear or too small. There was also a problem with the audio and I had to type out what I wanted to say. Also, I wanted to edit the video in iMovie but it took very long to import and export.

S1 (Viva Voice) Part A Question 3

Part A: Question 3

S1 (Viva Voice) Part B Question 3 (Reflection):
Some challenges I faced was speaking clearly, as I keep mumbling to myself as I was not very confident of myself. S1 (Viva Voice) Part A Question 1

S1 (Viva Voce) Part B Reflection:
The challenges were that i had almost no time to prepare so  i was saying what ever came into my mind
that made me stop and pause for a while and think back on what to do
What i should have done is to should have made a script to guide myself in the explainnation

S1 (Viva Voice) Part A Question 1

S1 (Viva Voce) Part B Reflection:

Challenges I faced during this task were:-
- Limited Preparation, I did not use a script so that at times I did not no what to say. I learnt that being more prepared is better.
- Explanation, I did not know how to explain it, but then I figured that I could use an example without algebra so that people could "see" the equation.

S1 (Voice Viva) Part A Question 1

The problems I faced was that I had to film each bit, bit by bit thus I had to record about 20 times also I had problems with knowing what to say. I stammer at some points.
The learning point was that I must make a script so i would not stammer making it more fluent

S1 (Voice Viva) Part A Question 1

The challenges I faced when doing the video was that I had to take a long time to film the video. I kept having problems with my shadow reflected on the wall and I tried to shorten the words I had to say.
The learning point was that I have learnt how to clearly using a step-by-step procedure explain how I arrived at the answer to the question.

S1 (Viva Voce) Part A Question 1

S1 (Viva Voce) Part B Reflection:
I had some difficulty adding the music as the recording didn't save well, so I used no sound. Also, I realized that once I get the hang of it, Algebra is actually rather easy.

S1 (Voice Viva) Part A Question 3

S1(Voice Viva) Part B Question 3

The challenges I faced were that that the video took a long time to successfully film as there would always be little mistakes with the verbal explanation, lighting, method ect. The other challenge was to explain clearly what my method was. I had to explain clearly exactly what each of my steps were and how I thought through them.

The learning points were to show the solving process of an algebra question and to explain clearly how each step was done.

S1 (Viva Voce) Part A Question 3

S1 (Viva Voce) Part B Reflection:

Some of the challenges I faced while doing this task were problems with recording such as the numbers not being clear enough. The learning points in this task were that I learnt how to explain the solution to a problem, clearly by using appropriate words.
