Source of Graph: Statistics Singapore. (2010, April 18). Statistics: Population. Retrieved from http://www.singstat.gov.sg/stats/charts/popn-area.html#popnA.

The bar graph shows information pertaining to the Singapore Population.

(a) What do the horizontal and vertical axis of the bar graph represent?
(b) Give an appropriate title to the bar graph.
(c) If this is a 3-mark question, how would you describe the population of Singapore in the past 50 years?

Note: This is part of the daily work. All are to attempt.

1. a) Vertical= The population of people in Singapore
Horizontal=The years that the are calculated in the graph

b) Populations increase in Singapore

c)Singapore is now very famous and are attracting a lot of tourist...Singapore's population is also INCREASING RAPIDLY

2. (a) What do the horizontal and vertical axis of the bar graph represent?

The vertical axis represents the population of Singapore and the horizontal axis represents the years when the population was recorded.

(b) Give an appropriate title to the bar graph.
The title is 'The rise in Singapore'

(c) If this is a 3-mark question, how would you describe the population of Singapore in the past 50 years?

The population of Singapore increased Significantly from 2013.6000 to 3771.3000 during 1970 to 2010.

2) The population of singapore.

6. (a) What do the horizontal and vertical axis of the bar graph represent?
The horizontal axis are the years while the vertical axis are the population of people
(b) Give an appropriate title to the bar graph.
The difference in the population in the different years of Singapore.
(c) If this is a 3-mark question, how would you describe the population of Singapore in the past 50 years?
The population of Singapore is increasing as the years increase. I can see so as the bar graph is longer at the end.

7. (a)What do the horizontal and vertical axis represent?
Horizontal: different years with a constant interval
Vertical: Population in Singapore represented by the unit of thousands
(b) Give an appropriate title to the bar graph.
Title: Increase in the population in Singapore
(c) If this is a 3-mark question, how would you describe the population of Singapore in the past 50 years?
The population in Singapore has been increasing. The gap between every decade is increasing over the years until the last decade where the increase is about the same as the previous decade.Compared to 50 years ago, Singapore's population has increased by a lot.I can infer that there may be more foreigners coming to Singapore to support the population size and increase it.Other than my inference, the rest can be observed from the bar graph.

8. (a) The horizontal axis represents the years and the vertical axis represents the population of people.
(b) An appropriate title to the bar graph can be "Population of people in Singapore for 50 years.
(c) The population of Singapore is increasing gradually over the past 50 years.

9. a) horizontal axis: years Vertical axis: population
b) Singapore's population over 50 years
c) The population of Singapore between 1970 to 2010 has been increasing at a steady rate. I can infer that Singapore has been attracting tourist into Singapore, thus they immigrate into Singapore, increasing its population.

10. (a) Horizontal axis is years and vertical axis is population
(b) Population of Singapore over the 50 years
(c) The population of Singapore is increasing. I can infer that the birth rate is also increasing and there is a increasing number of emigrants.

11. 1. The vertical axis shows the population of Singapore and the horizontal shows the year.
2. Population of Singapore over the 50 years.
3. The number of people in Singapore are increasing so the birth rate could be higher than the death rate or more people could be moving into singapore.

12. 1. The vertical axis shows the population of Singapore and the horizontal shows the year.

2. Population of Singapore over the fifty years.

3. The number of people in Singapore are increasing so the birth rate could be higher than the death rate or more people could be moving into singapore.

13. The horizontal axis shows the year, the vertical axis shows the population of Singapore (in thousands).

An appropriate title to this graph is ''The Singapore Population Over 50 Years''

The population of Singapore has been increasing greatly these years and it could be due to foreigners (PRS) and others moving into Singapore; the Birth rate is more than the Death rate of people.

14. 1. Vertical: Population of Singapore. Horizontal: Year
2. Population of Singapore over 50 years.
3. The population of Singapore has been increasing rapidly most probably due to the fact of many foreign talents coming to Singapore

b)Population of Singapore for the past 50 years.
